Boston: Increase Your Chances of Conception

Boston,

Having a baby is a wonderful experience and one that will enrich your life in so many ways. If you are hoping to get pregnant but are not sure when you will be ovulating, you should educate yourself on how to recognize obvious signs of ovulation. Ovulation occurs when one of your eggs is released from your ovaries ovary and it occurs toward the end of your menstrual menstrual cycle, although the exact time varies from month to month as well as from woman to woman.

If you are alert you can notice some subtle signs which indicate that you are probably ovulating. There is often a noticeably opaque, slippery vaginal secretion evident just before this period which look quite similar to raw egg whites. At other times this discharge is cloudy and sticky or may simply disappear completely.

Another way to know if you are ovulating is to take your basal temperature with a digital thermometer. Simply take the temperature reading during the mornings before getting out of bed. Write down the readings and be aware of a pattern emerging. Your most fertile days are those two to three days just before your basal temperature rises. Some women are going through ovulation during those times they have menstrual mild cramps, so if you are cramping slightly, you may well be ready to conceive.

You can also purchase a special ovulation test kit at your local pharmacy. These kits use samples of your urine to look for surges in hormone production that occur just before ovulation which can greatly increase the odds of conception. It is also recommended that you have intercourse every day around the time that you believe you may be ovulating. Having intercourse at least once each day during the days prior to ovulating may help you conceive.

By following the advice above you should be able to know when you are best able to conceive which will surely increase your chances for becoming pregnant. Once the miracle occurs you will have a lot of planning to do and will no doubt receive a lot of baby advice from women friends and family members who already have had children. Enjoy this very special time in your life! Motherhood is truly a gift from above and an experience that will change your life for the better. Good luck and may motherhood be everything you have always hoped it would be!
