If you’re dreaming of a baby girl, planning for a pink nursery, or want to give your other children a sister, you probably already now that there are some things that you can do on your own to greatly increase your odds.  What you may not know is why and how these things work and which tools can help them to work better. I’ll go over these things in the following article.

Here’s Exactly What It Takes To Conceive A Girl Baby:  In order to get a daughter, here’s what ultimately needs to happen.  Your partner’s sperm has two different chromosomes X and Y.  Most times, these will be present in equal numbers (50 / 50).  If the Y sperm wins out, you’ll get a son. But, (and this is what you want) if the X sperm emerges as the victor, say hello to your little girl. 

Unfortunately, you can’t see this process taking place, but science tells us a lot about what happens once intercourse takes place with ovulation on the horizon.  The two chromosomes behave very differently and this can make a huge difference.  The boy sperm are quite fast. But, they are also pitifully weak.  The girl sperm are woefully slow, but they are wonderfully strong.  You can use this to your great advantage.  Everything that I will advise you to do below is based on the fact that the boy sperm is weak, so you’re goal should be to do whatever you can to make sure they die off before they’re able to use their speed.

Perfecting Your Timing To Get Your Daughter:  I’ve already established that the boy sperm will begin to die off quite quickly.  So, you will want to conceive early.  3 days BEFORE ovulation is optimal.  If you conceive before this, your plan may backfire because the girl sperm will also die off.  But, if you try any later, the boy sperm will hang in there and begin their race. 

Obviously for this plan to work, you’ll need to know precisely when this window is.  Here’s where many people make mistakes here.  They try to use less then optimal methods that require guess work.  Basal temperature and cervical mucus monitoring leaves a lot of room for error and you just don’t have this luxury.  Your mucus and temperate can change for a variety of reasons.  I would advise using a reliable ovulation predictor and the choices here are urine or saliva. Urine often requires first morning urine and you have to keep buying them.  Saliva predictors are reusable and you can test at any time, which is why I like them.

Intercourse Positions That Give You A Better Chance Of Getting A Girl:  Keeping with the theme of weeding out boy sperm, positions that give you shallow penetration are by far the best.  Why? Because this gives those weak little guys a long (and hopefully difficult) trip.  Examples of this are spooning and traditional missionary.  You don’t want to elevate your hips or raise your legs as both of these will deepen the penetration.  

Why Acidity Is So Important: Your vaginal PH is yet another deterrent to boy sperm, who can’t live for long in a hostile environment.  You can define a hostile environment as one with a high PH.  One of the tools that I alluded to before was saliva testers that will tell you exactly how high your PH is.  This is the best way to start.  Once you know where you are, you then have a choice between using diet, douching, or both of these combined.

With diet, you will consume acidic foods and totally avoid alkaline foods.  This isn’t as hard as it may sound.  It can also be relatively short term if you are very diligent.  There’s some confusion that this means limiting your caloric intake.  This is wrong.  You should not limit how much you are taking in, just what types of foods you are consuming.

The second method is douching to raise your PH. Many people make the mistake of going blindly into this. They try vinegar and water and hope for the best.  You can do so much better.  There are recipes based on your individual reading that is stronger than what you’d get in a store.  And, you should always continue to test as you douche so that you can immediately see how well your efforts are working or if you need to be more aggressive.

Finally, you can combine both of these methods.  This often yields the fastest results, but some people aren’t excited by the idea of having so much to think about it. However, if you’re really diligent and see through testing what is giving you the best results, you truly should have to do this for very long.

Final Thoughts: If I could give you only one piece of advice, it would be to think about all of these things and come up with a plan. So many people want a girl but they’ll only use one method. So, they might focus on their timing, but then go in with a dirt low PH.  You would increase your chances this way, but you could have so much better odds if you addressed all three variables. It’s said that combining timing, intercourse, and PH can yield up to a 90% or so success rate.  So it makes good sense to use every variable to ensure that you get these results.
