Boston: How to Calculate Ovulation to Conceive a Girl Or Female Baby

It’s an old wives tale that it’s more difficult to conceive a girl than it is to conceive a boy.  This isn’t  always an accurate perception for many reasons.  Acidity and pH play a role, as does timing, and sexual intercourse positions.  However, I can see how this perception came about because it can be trickier to get the timing down when you want a daughter.  However, with the right tools, this doesn’t have to be not as hard as you may think.  I’ll explain this more in the following article.

If You Want To Conceive A Girl, You Need To Know That Ovulation Is On It’s Way, Not That It’s Already Happened:  If there’s any valid reason that conceiving a boy is easier for some couples, it’s this: to get the timing right for a male conception, you only need to know that your egg has already been released.  You’re not trying to gage it before the fact, which can be tougher.  Many of the methods our mothers or grandmothers taught us (basal temperature, cervical mucus, and the calendar method) only tell us when your egg has ripened and ovulation has just occurred (and often they tell us this information on the day after, which can be too late.)

But, this isn’t good enough if you want to become pregnant with a girl infant.  Your timing has to be much better than this.  In fact, the optimal day to conceive in this scenario is as much as 3-4 days prior.  As you can see, the old fashioned methods described above don’t really do you a lot of good here.  Even urine ovulation predictors often won’t give you a positive reading until a day after the egg is released.  Again, you are about 24 hours late at that point.

I often recommend saliva predictors in this case and here’s why. When you buy one of these kits you’ve given a little magnifier, a slide, and an instruction booklet.  You will need to place saliva on the slide (you can do this at any time. Unlike urine, you are not limited to the first sample in the morning.)  Then, you will look at the saliva under the magnifier.  You will see patterns and swirls that are indicative of how close ovulation is on the horizon.  For example, the slide is going to look much different seven days out than how it will look only three days out.  The instructions should show you examples for each applicable day.  This makes it much easier to hit your target.

Other Things That You May Need To Consider: You likely already knew that timing was absolutely key.  But where you also aware that your acidity and pH are every bit as vital?  It truly is because a vagina with a high pH is going to be quite hostile to boy sperm.  If you’re alkaline, then you are giving the boy sperm a nice welcome.  But if you are acidic, you are causing many of them to die off before they can beat out the girl or X sperm to the egg. 

You can find out your level by getting pH testers (you can likely get this at the same place where you buy your saliva predictor.)  Once you know if you’re too alkaline, you can consume many more foods with a high pH or you can douche with the appropriate ingredients to bring yourself way up until you are where you need to be.

Another consideration is using shallow sexual positions so that when coupled with a high PH you’re making the male sperm’s job just that much harder.
